The National University of Quilmes (Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, in Spanish) is a public Argentine university and the leading higher‑education institution in the Quilmes area.
Founded on October 23, 1989, the university is located in Bernal (within Quilmes County) and serves the southern part of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area—an industrial region home to roughly three million people and nearly 20% of Argentina’s industrial activity.
UNQ enrolls more than thirty thousand students across its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It offers 18 undergraduate degrees, including seven delivered through its virtual university platform established in 1998, as well as four master’s programs and two doctoral programs (in Applied Sciences and Social Sciences).
