The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) has a firm tradition of collaboration with Chinese top universities in many disciplines. VUB and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) have been jointly offered doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships to Chinese researchers to VUB since 2005. Based on the positive feedback from students and supervisors, VUB and CSC renewed the cooperation agreement in 2013 to offer more opportunities to PhD students, jointly-supervised PhD (including double PhD degree) students, Post-doctoral fellows and visiting scholars.
